A courtesy visit was paid to Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydın, Rector of Artvin Çoruh University, by the project team within the scope of the “GreenS4BlackSea – Protection of Virgin Forests as a Green Solution for the Black Sea” project. The project coordinator, Prof. Dr. Özgür Eminağaoğlu, provided Prof. Dr. Aydın with detailed information about the project.The  representatives from Project partner organizations introduced themselves and emphasis their roles in the project implementation.

Prof. Dr. Aydın stated that such projects supported by the European Union enhance the university’s international research capacity and visibility, strengthen cross-border academic collaborations, and contribute to the generation of applied scientific outputs in the fields of environment, biodiversity, and nature conservation. He further emphasized that the project represents a model example of cross-border cooperation, supporting the development of joint policies and practices at a regional scale for the protection of biodiversity and natural heritage, while also contributing to the establishment of a green belt in the Black Sea Basin, and conveyed his best wishes for its success.
